How to Make Easy Fresas Con Crema! (my recipe)
Hope everyone is staying healthy and sane!
Earlier this week I decided to have a little fun with my little brother in the kitchen. We decided to make a little dessert to enjoy. This is one of my most favorites desserts from my culture. It is called fresas con crema which translates in English to strawberries with cream.
Ingredients
- Strawberries (cut into small bite sized)
- Sour cream (I use Mexican sour cream without salt)
- La Lechera Can (1 or 2 cans depending how much you are making or how sweet you like it)
- Vanilla extract
- Granola
Supplies
- Cutting board
- Knife
- Large Bowl
- Spatula
- Tablespoon
- Teaspoon
- Wash and cut your strawberries, as many as you wish to make. I used about 1 full package of regular size from the groceries store and it was enough for 3 people. (My boyfriend, brother, and I)
- Grab a bowl to put all your cute strawberries in.
- Take about 3 full table spoons of your sour cream and add it to the bowl with your strawberries.
- Take 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and add it to the bowl.
- Take your "La Lechera" can and start adding it to the bowl with the ingredients. I would start with half of it only.
- Take your rubber spatula and blend in all the ingredients together.
- Once all of it is well mixed or blended Taste it to determine if you want it more sweeter. If you do want more sweetness like I like it... Add the rest of the can of "La Lechera". So 1 full can. Mix it once again with all the ingredients.
- Now you are done!
- Serve in a cup or bowl and top it with granola and enjoy!
Note: There are different recipe out there. Some have more ingredients. For example you can also add walnuts or sweetened condensed milk into your mixture, However, I just used what I had on hand in my pantry and refrigerator.
I hope this helped anyone that wants to make a quick and easy dessert!
